Your wedding is undoubtedly one of the most special days of your life. It’s filled with special memories that will, no doubt, be captured on photo and video — so it’s crucial to look and feel your best when the big day arrives. But, a natural glow doesn’t come overnight. If the idea of planning out treatments and appointments is stressful, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Here’s LI Bride and Groom’s pre-wedding beauty routine timeline of what you need to do and when. You’re welcome in advance.

6-8 months

-Start scheduling hair and makeup trials, and then immediately book your hair appointment. The last thing you want is to get caught last minute because no stylists are taking appointments. (Pro-tip: get your dress before you make your hair trial -- your stylist will probably be making some creative decisions for your hair based on the cut of your dress.)

-Update your skincare routine. Now’s the time to start being strict and incorporating good ingredients into your regimen.

-Get your sweat on. There’s no pressure to shed a certain amount of pounds or achieve any crazy fitness goals, but getting into a routine will keep your mood boosted and your heart healthy before your big day.

3-5 months

-Start getting waxed or laser hair removal. This isn’t necessary, but if this is something that makes you feel good, you’ll thank yourself for starting early.

-If being a little bronzed on your big day is important to you, start testing different self-tanner brands or try out different tanning salons near you. There’s nothing worse than a failed tan attempt, let alone on your wedding day.

1-2 months

-Look into getting a teeth whitening appointment, and then maintain the treatment with an at-home kit for a few weeks afterward to keep your teeth white and shiny.

-Get a facial, and give yourself some time to make sure your face doesn’t have an adverse reaction to the products. Your skin will thank you.

-Head to a nail salon and do a test run mani-pedi to make sure your nails will look the way you want.

1 week

-Schedule an appointment with a trusted hairstylist and treat yourself. Whether it’s a keratin treatment, a gloss, or subtle highlights, you’ll be grateful you gave your hair a little extra oomph.

-Get your brows done. Trust us — this is crucial.

-Get your final waxing treatment and give your skin time to heal before the wedding.

2-3 days

-Time to get your mani-pedi!

-Try an at-home facial peel or a face mask that’ll get rid of any unwanted redness and blemishes a few days beforehand.

-This is a perfect time to get your spray tan because, by the time your wedding day comes, you’ll have a nice, subtle glow about you.

The night before

-Drink lots of water. It’s one of the most important things you can do for your complexion.

-Relax and do some meditation. You deserve some moments of peace to commemorate all of the hard work you’ve put into the wedding planning process.

-Get some beauty sleep! It’s no secret that this is a key factor in looking and feeling your best for your wedding day.

Deciding on your wedding makeup is one of the final steps in completing your look for the big day. However, figuring out what makeup look is right for you can be tricky for many brides. Whether it is soft and natural or bold and colorful, your wedding makeup should make you feel beautiful as you are. If you're looking for the best examples of your desired natural makeup look, smokey eye, or pop-colored lip, take a look at eight of our favorite wedding makeup looks for your big day!

1.  Bold Red Lip

Nothing says love like red. Traditional bright red lips are among the most popular wedding makeup looks. If you have a fairer complexion, try a brighter orange-red; and if you have a darker complexion, a blue-toned red is the perfect color choice for you. No matter what type of red you decide, your makeup will sure to look gorgeous as it pops against your white gown.

2. Wedding Makeup Tip – The Classic Smokey Eye

Looking for something as dramatic as a bold red lip, but want to take it a step further? Go for the sultry and intense smokey eye. Pairing a charcoal-hued eye look along with either smudged or winged black eyeliner is the perfect makeup look to keep all eyes on you.

3. Neutral Brown Looks

If you’re interested in the dramatic smokey eye, but don’t want the harsh black lines, why not try neutral colors? Going all natural with brown-toned eye make-up gives a fresher, edgier look while still keeping a smokey makeup style. It also looks great with any eye color, and is sure to make your eyes pop.

4. Natural Wedding Makeup

If you prefer as natural makeup as possible, using dewy foundation is perfect to achieve that flawless skin look. Pair it up with some light, neutral-colored eyeshadow and a nude lip to get that no-makeup makeup look.

5.  Soft Glam/Blushing Bride

This wedding look is for brides that want a more natural look, but also want soft glam with a pop of color.  Incorporating peachy, rosy tones into your makeup (such as blush) gives your face a splash of color to get that romantic, angelic wedding makeup look.

6.  Pop of Color

If you want to take it a step further, try adding some brighter pops of color into your wedding makeup. Colors like purple and green can help accentuate the eyes, while reds and bright pinks can bring focus to your lips. You can even slip in “something blue” with a bold or pastel blue eye!

7.  Metallic Wedding Makeup

What better way to incorporate pops of color than to have a metallic wedding makeup look? Whether it’s silver, gold, or pearl, you can add these colors through sparkly glitter eyeshadow or highlighter for an illuminated, pearlescent look. Make sure you keep the rest of the look simple to really accentuate the metallic features.

8.  Matte Wedding Makeup

This look is for the brides that want to keep it as simple as possible. The key to this look is having a smooth, flawless skin finish. Since highlighting and sparkles accentuate skin texture, it’s best to stay away from those products in this case. However, matte makeup looks can certainly be either more natural, or can incorporate many pops of color!

No matter what makeup style you choose, make sure it’s what represents you the best!

When it comes to choosing hairstyles and accessories for your wedding day, the possibilities are endless. Choices can depend
on the style of your dress, your face shape, and the possible theme or season of your wedding (if you want to correlate the two).
What matters most, however, is how they fit your personality. Here are some fun ideas and suggestions on how to style your hair
for the big day.

(*Note: Each wedding hairstyle will have one or two pictures correlated to its number for your viewing).

1. Chignon Hairstyles

The chignon, more commonly known as the “low bun,” is one of the most popular wedding hairstyles. With many different variations to choose from (such as incorporating braids and curls), there are endless possibilities for accessories. Crystal hairpins with any-length veil (or if you want to be a little different, try a birdcage veil) will be a great combination for this do!

2.  Half Up/Half Down Looks

This hairstyle is perfect for the bride that doesn’t want to fully commit to an updo, but still wants the intricate details of one. Classic and elegant, you can twist your hair or braid it in the back, and then add some voluminous curls to the bottom. We recommend using a pearl hairpin in the back to connect to your veil and complete the look!

3.  Hollywood Curls

Speaking of voluminous curls, few wedding hairstyles can compete with the glamour of old Hollywood curls. This retro style can be either loose and pretty or defined and striking. For accessories, what can be more glamorous than a dazzling tiara or rhinestone headpiece? Pair them with a cathedral-length veil, and this hairstyle will be perfect for you to live your red carpet fantasy!

4.  Ponytail Hairstyles

If you want your hair out of your face, but don’t want a complete updo, ponytails are another great option! Whether it's a high, low, sleek, or messy ponytail, this hairstyle is an absolute classic. If you want to showcase this style even more, go for a birdcage or blusher veil. Adding a crystallized hairpiece on the side will also really get that unique look.

5.  Braided Looks

If you’re looking for another bohemian look that is a bit more detailed than loose waves, why not try braids? Whether it's a single braid
or mixed into another hairstyle, this look works for both classic and modern weddings. We also suggest pairing this look with a more fun accessory, like an embellished hairpin or flowers!

6. Loose Waves/Curls

Do you want your hair to be down, but don’t want the exaggerated curls that come with the Hollywood look? Why not try simple loose waves? This style is perfect for more laid-back or bohemian weddings. Add a flower crown and shoulder-length veil, and you've got the ultimate bohemian wedding look that's simply to die for.

Each hairstyle and accessory offers a different, unique, and stunning look; but remember, your choice is ultimately what you feel most beautiful in!
