During these times, couples are having to get creative with their wedding planning. As a result, many couples are deciding to have a micro wedding in order to get married and celebrate, but under the new circumstances put into place in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. A micro wedding has all of the usual aspects of a wedding, however, it has 50 or fewer guests. Here are some examples for planning a micro wedding on Long Island during a pandemic.

Picking the right micro wedding venue
The first step to planning your special day is finding the venue of your dreams. When selecting the setting for your micro wedding, try to find a place that will accommodate a smaller group. Since many couples are re-scheduling their weddings to a later date there are many options at various venues that would fit what you are searching for.

Outdoor weddings are popular right now, however, be mindful of what season you are getting married in. If the weather is colder, you might have to consider looking into indoor venues. Another way to celebrate a micro wedding is in your backyard, but catered by all of your vendors. For instance, renting a tent and working with your florist to decorate the backyard is a great way to personalize your traditional wedding on a smaller scale.

Make it a sweet experience
Every great wedding includes great food, but there’s always room for dessert. When it comes to your wedding cake, you can speak to your baker in order to customize your desserts. A popular idea is supplementing your cake with cupcakes.

Capture the intimate moments
Even with a small number of guests, you will want to have memories of this day with family and friends. One way is to hire a photographer and videographer to capture the day’s events.

Although your affair is on a smaller scale this does not mean that you have to compromise having the wedding of your dreams. There are many ways you can plan your micro wedding to make it unique and enjoyable, but still Covid friendly.
