When engrossed in the wedding planning process, there are so many questions couples may be asking themselves on how to make their wedding unique. Whether it be the theme, the venue, or any number of factors that go into creating that magical day.  Here at Long Island Bride and Groom, we want to suggest a few ways to enhance the uniqueness factor of your wedding with helpful tips in creating the perfect wedding signature drinks.

Seasonal Wedding Signature Drinks
There are many different combinations of wedding signature drinks you can select from whether you decide to have alcohol or not. Either way, you can customize your drinks and make them your own.

When planning out your personalized signature drinks, the season your wedding is in can be a great way to highlight your wedding theme.  For a fall wedding, one might consider a cider drink with notes of cinnamon or apple to bring back all of those fond memories. For example, your first apple picking date.

Who wouldn’t want to have their very own Winter Wonderland? The good news is that you can, by adding some custom wedding drinks that fit perfectly with the holly jolliness of this season. We can’t talk about winter without mentioning some sweet sips that will make you want to take a bite of a sugar cookie right after, whether it be a peppermint White Russian or an Eggnog Martini.

Spring and Summer provide the perfect excuse to get fruity with your wedding signature drinks. When trying to come up with creative ideas that coincide with these light and fun seasons it will make you wonder how many different ways your everyday fruit can be configured. Long story short, it’s a lot. Therefore, you could serve your guests a refreshing rendition of an old classic like a watermelon mojito or stick to the basics with a nice sangria. The vibrant colors of these drinks alone can bring the same upbeat energy that is deserved on your special day.

Holidays Spirits
While on the topic of seasons, we can’t leave out some of the holidays within these seasons, which makes them so notable. Seasons bring a wide range of flavors to incorporate into your wedding signature drink options while holidays bring in a certain presentation factor. Sometimes it’s not just about the taste of the drink, but it’s also the experience a guest will have while drinking it. Halloween is a great example of how appearance can play a role in a specialty drink.  You can have your guests drink out of a mini pumpkin and turn it into an experience. The same can be said by adding a candy cane rim to a drink or replacing a regular old twirler with a cinnamon stick for the winter holidays. Adding any of these festive features can be the gift that keeps on giving for your wedding.

Classic with a twist
Wedding planning, however, can be overwhelming with so many factors to consider when structuring your big day. If you feel overwhelmed by the thought of adding a signature drink to the wedding theme don’t be afraid to stick with the classics. They are called classics for a reason.  Wine, beer, and champagne will always be crowd-pleasers and can be excellent to accompany your celebrations. For example, a creative way to serve a classic drink like beer would be to have a craft beer sampling and to enhance the experience you could serve hot pretzels along with the tasting.

What's your favorite theme drink?
Make a mark on your wedding. The possibilities in which you can do so are endless.  Festive drinks that follow a theme or season can be a creative option, but you don’t necessarily have to follow that specific pattern. Simply creating a fun and custom name of a drink to make it unique to your wedding or switching up the presentation of the drinks can also be innovative ways to make the most of your big day. The bottom line is the sky is the limit in the drink world, and you can utilize any of these ideas to your advantage and make it an experience your guests will be talking about for weeks after the wedding is over.  Cheers!
